What is the Law of Attraction?

Similar to a scientific law, the Law of Attraction is an underlying fundamental of the Universe where like-energies attract each other. Stated another way, the Law of Attraction is a universal mechanism where an individual attracts into his or her life, whether conscious or unconscious, whatever he or she gives energy, focus, and attention to.

On the one hand, positive thoughts attract positive experiences. On the other hand, negative thoughts attract negative experiences. Further, the Law of Attraction characterizes an individual’s ability to attract into his or her life whatever he or she is focusing on.

The Law of Attraction uses the power of cognitive facilities to transform whatever is in a person’s thoughts and materialize those thought patterns into physical experience.

Emotions and the Law of Attraction

While focusing on better-feeling thoughts, the person can manifest positive and meaningful changes in his or her life.

The more a person experiences the emotion of joy, the more that person attracts experiences that create joy in the person’s life. Conversely, the more a person experiences the emotion of fear, the more that person attracts experiences that create fear.

Stated frankly, our thoughts turn into reality. That is why being vigilant of how we feel is so important. That is, I change my thoughts, so I can feel higher vibrational emotions (contentment, joy, well-being). When I feel good, I am communicating to the Universe that I would like more experiences that allow me to feel good.

Energy, Frequency, and Vibration

The Law of Attraction works because people and our thoughts are both made of vibrational energy. Through the process of attracting higher vibrational energy, a person can improve his or her own health, well-being, financial situation, and personal relationships. I know this from personal experience.

Whether we are consciously aware of the Law of Attraction or not, the Law is still operating in our life. Regardless of our awareness of it or not, the Law of Attraction is taking place in everyone’s life.

It makes sense to learn the Law of Attraction and work with it, as compared to having it dictate the reality that we experience. The Law of Attraction is a beautiful phenomenon. It is here to help us bring about our highest intentions.

In summary, the Law of Attraction operates through energy, vibration, and frequency.  If you do not have a life that you prefer, improve the quality of your thoughts.

Improve the thoughts your are thinking, shift your emotions to a better-feeling state, increase your vibration, and start attracting more favorable experiences in your life.

Many of the stress reduction techniques that I write about activate the Law of Attraction. Habits and techniques that activate the Law of Attraction include:

  • Meditation
  • Gratitude
  • Decluttering and organizing
  • Body movement and exercise
  • Singing and clapping
  • Redirecting your thoughts

Conclusively, the Universe responds to our emotions. We live in a vibrational universe and we can use this energy to manifest an experience that serves us all.
